According to a high-level internal email making the rounds at Best Buy, they have it on good authority that CompUSA’s holiday revenue is half of what it was last year, store-restocking shipments are not being scheduled past February, and additional liquidators are being called in to help manage the closure of the 103 remaining stores.
If it’s true it wouldn’t be the most surprising thing I hear this year. I don’t remember when the last time I shopped at a CompUSA was and I doubt I’m the only one.
