JetBlue has been quietly working with RIM (Research In Motion, makers of the Blackberry) and Yahoo to bring free wifi to their flights.
Kinda.
Apparently only laptops and wifi enabled RIM phones (like the 8820 and 8320) will be able to connect, and even so they will only have access to Yahoo Mail and Yahoo IM. [...]

Over the next few weeks, Dell XPS and Inspiron notebook and desktop computers will begin showing up in more than 900 Best Buy stores across the US.

Engineers at IBM have devised a way to send data between CPU’s using pulses of light instead of electricity, resulting in transfer speeds that are 100-times faster.
