RealNetworks lays off nearly 100 employees

RealNetworks last week laid off nearly 100 of their employees, roughly 35 from the Seattle, Washington, area and the others in Asia and Europe.
Bill Hankes, a spokesperson for RealNetworks, indicated that the cuts were to eliminate redundancies due to several acquisitions the company had made over the last two years.
Roughly 1,700 employess still remain.

Everex bringing 7-inch “Cloudbook” laptop to the teeny, tiny laptop party

My very first PC was made by Everex…it was a 386SX that I bought used and the very same day I swapped the motherboard and CPU, choosing a 486DX (HAD to have the math co-processor).
