Quickly kill Windows programs from a batch file using taskkill

I’m an application developer by day and sometimes when I’m testing something out things don’t go so well, the program hangs, and I have to open the Windows Task Manager and end the program.
Sometimes I have to do this many time in one hour, depending what I’m testing and how far along it is [...]

AMD admins to paying too much for ATI

In October of 2006 AMD surprised me when it purchased ATI for $5.6 billion, but the most recent news doesn’t really surprise me: they paid too much.
Oops.
The final purchase price included $3.2 billion allocated for goodwill, which was nearly three times the value of the product technology ATI had previously developed and was currently [...]

This is just a rumor at this point, but one I’d personally be interested in if it were true.
Engadget received a photo of what looks to be just that from a Dutch tipster.
I assume that would be a GPS receiver connected to the bottom of the iPhone, though if this rumor turns out to be [...]

Next version of Windows to have multi-touch?

This hasn’t been officially confirmed by Microsoft yet in the form of a press release or anything like that, but if claims by Microsoft test engineer Hilton Locke are to be believed, Windows 7, the next version of Microsoft Windows, will feature multi-touch.
Multi-touch, in case it rings a bell but you can’t quite place [...]
