Analog TV to digital TV cutover may happen early for some

I’m sure everyone has heard about the lights going out on analog television broadcasts in favor of digital ones on February 17, 2009.

BUT, for some that may happen even a bit earlier.

The FCC has approved new rules regarding the transition and allows, among other things, for stations to reduce or terminate their analog service before the deadline “if doing so is necessary to achieve their transition.”
