NBC and Donald Trump are back with a new season of The Apprentice television show called The Celebrity Apprentice.
The Apprentice, now in it’s seventh season (really?) usually features a group of type-A’s competing to win a job with Donald Trump in one of his enterprises, but this season it’s different.
This season, the celebrity contestants will be competing to raise over a million dollars for their various charities. The winner at the end will receive a bonus $250,000 for their designated charity.
I assume that another difference this season is that a contestant won’t be eliminated each week but I’m not positive at this point.
The 14 celebrities are:
- Nadia Comaneci (Olympic gold medalist for Romania in gymnastics)
- Jennie Finch (Olympic gold medalist for US in softball)
- Marilu Henner (actress/author)
- Carol Alt (model/actress)
- Lennox Lewis (heavyweight boxer)
- Gene Simmons (musician)
- Piers Morgan (editor/”America’s Got Tallent” judge)
- Stephen Baldwin (”actor”, er, actor)
- Tiffany Fallon (Playboy playmate/Miss Georgia USA 2001)
- Tito Ortiz (UFC fighter)
- Vincent Pastore (actor)
- Omarosa Manigault Stallworth (contestant from The Apprentice season one)
- Nely Galán (entrepreneur and former television executive)
- Trace Adkins (musician)
This could be a lot of fun or a huge train wreck…I’m curious enough to watch it at least once. If you’re curious too, check it out tonight at 9/8c.
UPDATE: The first episode is over…I won’t spoil the ending in case anyone hasn’t seen it yet but still may, but they do eliminate a celebrity at the end.
How was it?
Decent. I’ll watch it again next week to see if it gets any better.
