For 13 days (so far), Xbox LIVE has been having a few issues with stability. What’s going on?
According to Microsoft LIVE General Manger Marc Whitten, there is a record number of people signing up and going online and the instability with the network is “a result of this massive increase in usage.”
Microsoft knows how aggravating and disruptive this has been to many Xbox LIVE subscribers, so as a peace offering they’re giving subscribers a free Xbox LIVE Arcade title for free.
Just gold subscribers?
Nope, gold AND silver members.
Since the Xbox 360 comes with a free Xbox LIVE silver membership, that means everyone gets a free Arcade title.
Look for more info over the next couple weeks, but it’s not a rumor–it’s official.
