Casio introduces new EXILIM EX-F1 digital camera, able to shoot 60fps [UPDATED]

Casio has announced a new digital camera, the EXILIM EX-F1 at CES.

A lot of cameras have a burst mode, but the EX-F1 is able to take 60fps of full-resolution photos!

It also has something called “slow motion view” that will show you those 60 photos in the viewfinder and let you keep just the one you want and discard the others, saving space on your memory card.

Need to record video? No problem–the EX-F1 is able to record video at 1,200fps so it can be played back later in slow-motion without losing image quality…the trade off is the resolution, which is only 336×96. At that setting, viewing this video on a big TV might depress you.

Thankfully that’s not the only video mode available. Its also able to record 1080i/720p video at 30fps and can compress video with H.264.

Sounds like a great camera for shooting action…hopefully reviews won’t prove otherwise.

look for this in March for $999.

UPDATE: Engadget has posted a video showing off the EX-F1 and its high-speed video recording, which you can check out here.
