This is just a rumor for now but expect confirmation one way or the other soon since the Golden Globes are scheduled to take place on January 13…the rumor is that because of the writers strike in Hollywood and the Writers Guild picket lines, the Golden Globes award show, scheduled to be aired on NBC, will be essentially canceled.

In its place will be a press conference to announce the winners, interviews on Dateline with some nominees, and an “Access Hollywood” style party show that will visit various parties in Hollywood.

I don’t know that I’ve ever actually watched the award show so I don’t feel that I’ll be missing anything, but for those that do enjoy it I’ll update this post when I find out any additional info…
