The Everex Cloudbook is ready for launch and will be appearing at Wal-Mart beginning January 25, 2008, for $399.
What’s a Cloudbook?
In case you haven’t been following it, the Cloudbook is a small, inexpensive laptop computer by budget computer maker Everex that features:
- 1.2GHz VIA C7 processor
- 512MB DDR2 RAM
- 30GB hard drive
- 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480
- Integrated graphics
- 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet port
- 4-in-1 media card reader
- 2x USB ports
- 1.3 megapixel webcam
- gOS Rocket Linux operating system
It will be interesting to see how it performs on its own and compared to the Asus Eee PC.
