One of the benefits of having an Apple Airport Express is the ability to connect speakers directly to it and stream audio to them to over your wireless network.
Unfortunately, it only works from within iTunes, so you have audio from any other source (QuickTime, Pandora, Last.fm, etc.) it won’t work.
That’s where Rogue Amoeba’s Airfoil comes in.
Using Airfoil you’ll be able to stream audio from any application running on your Mac (sorry, not for Windows) to one or many Airport Express devices as well as other Mac’s over your wireless network. Plus, it keeps them all in sync!
This version (v3) will cost you just $25, and if you’re an Airfoil 2 user you can get it for just $10.
If you bought Airfoil 2 after July 16, 2007, this upgrade is free!
