Sony preparing another format war over wireless USB, Bluetooth 3.0

No stranger to battling over formats, Sony has announced that their new wireless spec they’re calling TransferJet will be taking on W-USB (wireless USB) and Bluetooth 3.0 as a short-range wireless format.

Toshiba lowers price of HD DVD players

Toshiba has send out a press release announcing that they are dropping the retail price of their three HD DVD players. As of January 13, the MSRP of the 1080i capable HD-A3 drops to $149.99, the 1080p capable HD-A30 drops to $199.99, and the high-end HD-A35 drops to $299.99.
