According to Engadget, a curious reader decided to search the web for “macbookair” using Dogpile (a website that returns the search results of 4 different search engines instead of having to search them all one by one) and found that the results contained a Google ad. When that ad was clicked it redirected to the MacBook page on the Apple store.
Another user tracked looked up the domain macbookair.org and found that Apple owns it.
Does this mean that tomorrow morning we’ll 100% guaranteed to hear about a new Apple notebook called the “MacBook Air”.
Eh…sounds circumstantial to me.
If I were Apple, even if I wasn’t going to introduce a notebook computer called “MacBook Air”, with all the talk of that name I’d definitely want to make sure that if someone searched for it they would get back to me.
Maybe it’s true, maybe not, but I don’t think that this info is definitive proof.
UPDATE: Okay, I was wrong. The MacBook Air is official–check out a rundown of the keynote here.
