iPhone users waiting patiently to get their hands on the latest firmware (1.1.3), your wait is at an end.
After connecting your iPhone to your computer, iTunes let you know that a new firmware is available and ask if you want to download and install it.
If you’ve used a jailbreak to load third-party apps onto your iPhone, don’t do the firmware update unless you’re okay with losing them. Otherwise, go for it.
What’s new in 1.1.3?
- The ability to send SMS messages to more than one person at a time.
- Google Maps can now determine your location thanks to cell tower triangulation.
- Google Maps can display a Hybrid map view.
- The home screen supports pagination.
- The icons on the home screen can be re-arranged.
- Web bookmarks can be added to the home screen.
Engadget has posted a video of 1.1.3 in action if you want to see what it looks like before downloading the firmware yourself.
