Garmin Bobcat revealed

After teasing us before Macworld about something called Bobcat, Garmin finally lets loose a little info about what it is.

According to the Project Bobcat Updates and Downloads page, Bobcat is a piece of software that lets you manage, track, route and search waypoints on your Mac and share them with your Garmin GPS.

It seems like this page is still under development…in one place it lists the system requirements as:

  • Intel-based or PowerPC G3 or later Mac
  • OS 10.4
  • 512MB RAM
  • USB port

…and later on it says the system requirements are:

  • Apple Macintosh or compatible with an Intel processor
  • Mac OS 10.4 or higher

The software is still in beta at this point, so if you do decide to check it out don’t expect things to work perfectly.
