The FlipStart UMPC, first showed at CES 2003 as a concept by Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft), has been facing stiff competition from, among others, the Asus Eee PC.
Plus not that many people really know the name FlipStart (at least not anymore sine they’ve been out of the news for a while).
Both of these problems [...]

Last week Best Buy stores pulled a $230 Insignia 10.4-inch photo frame from shelves.
Why?
It shipped from the manufacturer with a Trojan virus.
The virus will only effect Windows computers and only if the photo frame is connected to a PC via a USB cable. Apparently its not a recent virus, so up-to-date anti-virus applications should be [...]

Luckily Joystiq thought the same thing and put together a table [...]

The new MacBook Air. So thin th at it literally fits into a manila office envelope.
A very neat visual, but one that’s also very easy to make fun of…I’ve heard two people around the office (so far) mock it.
What if there really was a laptop sleeve that could protect the MacBook Air but looked like [...]

If you’ve never thought about bringing your laptop to the beach, you’re not alone.
For those that have, you’ve no doubt ran into problems trying to read the screen with all that darn sunlight screwing things up.
The LapDome looks to set things right with their laptop tent.
The LapDome gives you and your laptop a sheltered, darkened [...]

1. Distribution deals with Dell, IBM and Intel.
