In October 2007 Sony announced a ceramic white Playstation 3 and DualShock 3 controller for the Japanese market.
Will these models ever make it to the US in non-import form? Seems pretty likely.
The FCC database has taken the liberty of announcing that the same 40GB ceramic white PS3 has been approved for sale in the US, clearing Sony to begin selling it.
Sony hasn’t officially announced it yet, so no word on a release date (assuming there will be one).
