Best Buy to push Blu-ray as the HD format of the future

Boy, not a very good day for HD-DVD. First the Netflix announcement and now this.

Best Buy has announced today that it will be promoting Blu-ray as the HD format of the future.

Beginning in early March, Best Buy will be showcasing Blu-ray hardware and software both in stores and online, and recommending the format to customers who ask.

HD DVD products will still be available (at least for now), but HD DVD seems like the walking dead at this point.
