There are two new rumors involving Toshiba that are making their way around the internet:
- Toshiba will be killing the HD DVD high definition disc format in the coming weeks.
- Toshiba will try its hand at making its own Blu-ray player.
Huh?
If that happens, that would leave pretty much just Microsoft as the lone manufacturer of HD DVD hardware with its Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on, a business I can’t imagine they’ll want to stay in.
Does that mean that a Blu-ray add-on drive will make its way to the Xbox 360?
Lets not get ahead of ourselves, but a move like that wouldn’t be out of the question within the next 12 months.
