Sharper Image files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy [UPDATED]

After “declining sales, three straight years of losses and litigation involving its Ionic Breeze air purifiers,” Sharper Image has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The filing happened late yesterday in bankruptcy court in Wilmington, Delaware.
Sharper Image says it has $251.5 million in assets, $199 million in debt, and roughly $700k cash on hand.

GameStop officially stops taking HD DVD trade-ins

That rumor from yesterday has panned out after all–GameStop officially no longer takes HD DVD movies as trade-in.
Some GameStop locations have even stopped taking the Xbox 360 HD DVD drive as well, and that could be chain wide come tomorrow.
Poor HD DVD. Even GameStop is turning them away.
