Because of the bankruptcy filing earlier this week by Sharper Image, the company has decided to stop accepting gift cards.
If you have a Sharper Image gift card that you received as a gift, or if you received one after a merchandise return, right now it’s pretty worthless.
Gift card holders may have a claim against the bankruptcy estate of Sharper Image, but you would be considered an “unsecured creditor” and not likely to get anything.
Best bet is to wait it out and see if one day the card has value again.
