According to Gamerscore Blog, in light of Toshiba’s and the major studios decisions to drop HD DVD, Microsoft is following suit and doing the same.
If their story is correct, Microsoft will no longer be manufacturing the Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on drive but will continue supporting those already in the market.

Some people really, really love popping bubble wrap. While the Puchi Puchi isn’t actually bubble wrap, it is a device that will make the sound of bubble wrap popping and for some that might be close enough.
