If you’ve every lost something and wished you had a device that could help you track down just where it is (I know I have) the Loc8tor Lite might be just what you’re after.
The Loc8tor Lite is “credit card sized device” that can be programmed to locate up to four different things by attaching a “Tag” to them.
Attach a tag to a set of keys, mobile phone, purse, PDA, your car for big parking lots. and with the push of a button on the Loc8tor Lite the Tag will begin to beep and flash, while at the same time LED’s will light up on the Loc8tor Lite device with more LED’s illuminating the closer you get to what you’re looking for.
They claim to be able to get you within 1-inch of the Tag, and the device has a range of about 400 feet.
The Tags themselves are 1.2 inches long, 0.8 inches wide and 0.3 inches thick…that’s really not so big, but I do wish there was an option for an even smaller Tag, even it it meant giving up the beeping and flashing features.
But still, it’s not so big that you’ll have trouble attaching it to a digital camera strap, keychain, a short tether attached to your mobile phone, etc.–if you have something you’re prone to losing, you’ll find a way to attach a Tag to it.
Interested? The Loc8tor Lite handset and two Tags will set you back $79.99 and can be purchased directly from Loc8tor Ltd. A set of two additional Tags can be purchased for $44.99.
