If you’ve been patiently awaiting the arrival of a controller for your Playstation 3 that includes the rumble feature, you’ll be glad to know that the release date has finally been announced and it’s not far from now.

Sony finally announced a release date for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 4 for the Playstation 3 of June 12, 2008.
Also announced was a new Playstation 3 80GB which will include Metal Gear Solid 4 and a DualShock 3 controller for $499.

Switzerland-based Goldmund has announced perhaps the the most expensive and ovepriced piece of audio video equipment in the world today–the Eidos 20 Blu-ray player.
The $17,000 device is as ugly as it is expensive, though it claims that it’s the first Blu-ray player from a high-end audio-video equipment maker.

Today Apple has released a firmware update for the iPhone and iPod Touch, bringing it up to 1.1.4.
What’s new in this version?
So far nobody seems to know…it says what most Apple updates say–”fixes bugs”–and not much more.
The 1.1.4 update most likley includes something that is needed for apps created with the upcoming iPhone SDK.

Sharp and Sony have agreed to create a joint venture to produce LCD panels at a new $3.5 billion plant being built in Sakai, located in western Japan.

The rumors of refreshes coming to the Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro lines were true–earlier today the Apple online store went down and when it came back the MacBook and MacBook Pros had been updated with faster CPU’s, larger hard drives and more RAM.

A tipster at Best Buy sent in a printout showing a new MacBook model hitting on March 2nd.
The model designation is MB402LL/A and while typically MacBook Pro begins with MA and a MacBook begins with MB, but the price listed is $1,999 which likely too expensive for a normal MacBook.
