Goldmund announces ugly $17,000 Blu-ray player

Switzerland-based Goldmund has announced perhaps the the most expensive and ovepriced piece of audio video equipment in the world today–the Eidos 20 Blu-ray player.
The $17,000 device is as ugly as it is expensive, though it claims that it’s the first Blu-ray player from a high-end audio-video equipment maker.
The Eidos 20 features an AS-Curator power supply circuit and a Magnetic Damper to decrease read errors.
It looks a bit DIY for $17,000 but what do I know.
