Last week Abilene Christian University (ACU) announced a new plan to give all incoming freshman either an iPhone or iPod Touch.
In addition to using them to slack off (its inevitable) the devices will also be an integral part of the ACU’s Connected program, where they will be used for things like sending students homework alerts, answering in-class surveys and quizzes, getting directions to professors’ offices, and checking their meal and account balances.
ACU has already been one-upped by another school. Care to guess who it might be?
Give up?
Oklahoma Christian University (OCU).
OCU is offering freshman a free iPhone or iPod Touch AND a new MacBook. PLUS, non-freshman can trade in their current machine for a new MacBook.
