After laying off around 1,000 employees, Yahoo has announced that they will be expanding in India with plans to establish a new lab that will focus on long-term research.
Its not sure known at this point exactly how many people Yahoo will be hiring, but the number is believed to be around 500.
Yahoo already has roughly 1,500 employees in India so this isn’t the first time they’ve brought jobs there, but if you’re among those recently laid off by the lumbering giant I’d imagine it can’t help but feel like a bit of a low blow.
