In a story at Financial Times, Stan Glasgow, Sony Electronics US president, said that Sony and Microsoft are talking about Microsoft introducing a Blu-ray drive for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console.

If you’re anxious to get your hands on the iPhone SDK, its available for download right now at http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/.
The download includes the Xcode IDE, Instruments, iPhone Simulator, frameworks and samples, compilers, Shark analysis tool, and more.
Remember: You’ll need to have an Intel-based Mac running OS X Leopard to use it.

Yesterday’s news about Meizu’s booth at CeBIT getting shut down by police in Hanover was apparently just the tip of the iceberg.
In all, 51 exhibitors at CeBIT were busted at the show for patent infringement with 180 police offers confiscating 68 boxes worth of equipment.

In not so surprising news, Samsung has announced that it will be canceling their upcoming BD-UP5500 Blu-ray/HD DVD combo player.
In a statement issued by Samsung, they said “[a hybrid player] remains a practical solution, but the window of opportunity is smaller than it was before.”

Windows users running Outlook have a new option for accessing their calendar while away from the office. Rumor has it that the Microsoft Xbox 360 will be getting an across the board € 50 price cut (about $76) on March 14 in Europe, meaning all models will drop by that much.
If this is true, that would put the Xbox 360 Arcade at € 197. For comparison, the Nintendo Wii is € 234 [...]

Adidas is preparing to launch a new fitness phone in the UK that will compete with the Nike+.
