Herbal supplement maker Airborne has announced a proposal to settle a $23.3 million class-action lawsuit for false advertising.
“There’s no credible evidence that what’s in Airborne can prevent colds or protect you from a germy environment,” said CSPI Senior nutritionist David Schardt. “Airborne is basically on overpriced, run-of-the-mill vitamin pill that’s been cleverly, but deceptively, marketed.”

The producers of the television show “24″ on are in the process of developing a 2-hour prequel to the upcoming seventh season.
The prequel is to help bridge the gap between seasons six and seven and is iexpected to air this fall with the full season starting in January.

Like a lot of other retailers, Circuit City has a 30-day return policy on purchases. In a nice (and somewhat surprising) customer service gesture, the company is extending that to 90 days for HD DVD players (just to players, not not do discs) to “take care of our customers.”

Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile’s parent company, may have to consider purchasing US cellular carrier Sprint according to an investment note by Merrill Lynch.

Asus is showing off their next generation Eee PC at CeBIT–the Eee PC 900–which features a 8.9-inch screen, 1GB of memory, and storage up to 12GB.
The larger screen will be a welcome addition for many, with an expected resolution of 1024 x 600.
Battery life seems a bit low at 2.5 - 3 hours…hopefully that figure [...]

With everyone else coming out with UMPC’s its almost getting hard to keep track of them all. Another one was announced today, this time by computer maker ECS–the G10IL.
The G10Il will have a a built-in 3G wireless radio (HSDPA 7.2), a webcam, three USB ports, an Ethernet port, a 56K modem, and no optical drive.
