Ah, nostalgia. The Sega Dreamcast died almost ten years go, too early for those who loved it.
When Dreamcast fans saw that dreamcast.com was asking “Do you still own a Dreamcast?”, word quickly spread that Sega was collecting serial numbers to do something special for Dreamcast owners.
Sorry, its a scam.
Sega no longer owns dreamcast.com and the Dreamcast and Sega logos are being used illegally. Apparently the domain’s registration information is also fraudulent.
How exactly Sega managed to lose the dreamcast.com domain? Not really sure. Buying a domain name is about the cheapest annual bill known to man.
Anyway, just stay away from it. If you’ve already setup an account there and given them an email address, make sure that the password you selected isn’t also the password for the email address you gave them. If it is, you’re going to want to change it right away.
