Last month video game industry giant Electronic Arts attempted to acquire Take-Two with an unsolicited all-cash offer worth $2 billion ($26 per share).
Take-Two, publisher of Grand Theft Auto and Bioshock (among others), wasn’t interested and turned the offer down, which apparently displeased the EA overlords.

Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for the Microsoft Xbox 360, said that “Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience.”

Apple today announced the dates for their annual Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco.
The conference will be taking place in the west hall of the Moscone Centre and will run from June 9 – 13 and have three tracks available: iPhone, Mac, and IT.
No word yet on whether Steve Jobs will be delivering a keynote [...]

Today Sony has released an updated firmware for the Playstation 3, brining the version to 2.17.
What’s new?
All they’re saying is that its a minor technical update to improve the stability of some PS3 titles while playing online.

According to the Nikkei, Toshiba is likely looking at a 100 billion yen (roughly $982 million) loss on HD DVD from just 2007 alone.
Toshiba has no comment on the story, saying “we did not announce this, and therefore we cannon comment,” but shareholders are taking it seriously with Toshiba shares opening down 2.3% after the [...]
