Apple has just released an update to their Safari web browser, bring it to version 3.1.
They claim that Safari is the fastest web browser around, able to load web pages 1.9x faster than IE7 and 1.7x faster than FireFox 2, and run JavaScript up to 6x faster than any other browser.
In addition to improved performance, version 3.1 also adds support for a few new web standards like CSS 3 web fonts and new HTML 5 <video> and <audio> elements (the first browser to support these), better site compatibility and improved stability.
For a list of all of the changes check out this page at Apple.
On the Mac side Safari 3.1 supports Leopard and Tiger, and on the Windows side it supports Windows XP or Vista.
