Kevin Lin, vice president of sales at ASUS, annunced today that that the next generation of their Eee PC notebook computer will include an 8.9-inch touchscreen display and possibly even a GPS.

According to a story in Fortune, Microsoft is apparently considering application development for the iPhone.

Navigation chipset manufacturer SiRF today announced that as a result of lower than expected orders for 2008 they dropped their first quarter expectation by roughly $10 million.
Bad news for SiRF employees as the company will be cutting 7 percent of their workforce and closing its offices in San Francisco and Stockholm, Sweden.

I’m still not sure why someone might want a cell phone with a keypad that feels like human skin, but LG must be pretty sure that someone does.
The new LG-SH240 slider has features that include:
