If you like the look of the new Apple TV Take 2 software but don’t want to spend the money on getting an Apple TV when you’ve already got a Mac you’d like to use instead, good news–ATV4mac lets you do just that.
I first saw this a few weeks ago but there were some problems with the installer and the link was pulled (potential legal issues as I recall).
It’s back and ready to be downloaded here.
It apparently doesn’t work with HD movie downloads, but the rest of it should be okay as far as I can tell.
Intel and Tiger only, but they are apparently working on a version for Leopard.
