Three days ago when Walt Mossberg said that a new 3G capable iPhone was coming in 60-days, may people’s ears perked up and the story quickly spread across the Internet.
Mossberg today retracted that juicy bit of info, saying that he has no better idea when the next iPhone is coming than anyone else does. He also said that “if I knew when this date was, why would I announce it in the middle of a sentence at the Finnish embassy, rather than report it in the Wall Street Journal?”
This doesn’t mean that a 3G iPhone isn’t coming, just that Mossberg doesn’t know when exactly its coming though 60 days is as good a guess as any.
