Another week, another airline bankruptcy.
Frontier Airlines has announced that they have filed for bankruptcy, but unlike ATA and Skybus they will continue to operate as it restructures.
The airline says that its credit card processor was “holding back” customer payments and threatening the airline’s liquidity, which is how then ended up applying for Chapter 11 protection.

Way back in 2006 TiVo sued DISH Network (at the time called EchoStar), claiming that the company had violated their DVR patents for their DVRs.
TiVo won $90 million on the case as well as an injunction against DISH requiring that they turn off existing DVR functions and stop selling new ones.

There’s a new rumor starting to make the rounds that I’m a bit surprised by: Microsoft is planning to open its own retail stores.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Sure, many people use Microsoft software and computer accessories, but an entire store dedicated to Microsoft? Seriously?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Blockbuster is working on their very own set-top box for streaming video into your living room.

According to a story at Valleywag, a former DoubleClick employee approached Valleywag with a story that doesn’t exactly fit with Google’s “Do No Evil” motto.
According to the unnamed person, Google managers asked DoubleClick employees to sign one-year noncompete agreements. Most agreed, assuming it would spare their jobs.

New legislation is expected to be introduced soon that would require car makers meet a minimum sound level.
