According to Stuff.tv, who is at Nike’s headquarters in Oregon checking out footwear for all 32 Olympic events, they had a chance to speak with a Nike+ spokesperson about what’s next for the Nike+ system.

“Nike+ will definitely be extending its compatibility beyond the iPod Nano to the iPhone and iPod Touch. No surprise there really, but the interesting detail is that it could also make use of both devices Wi-Fi (and, ultimately for the iPhone, 3G capability) to let you update your training log on the fly.”

A new website called Nike+ Coach is scheduled to go live any day now and will server as a web-based personal trainer and be able to use your recorded data to see how you’re doing.
