The Asus Eee PC 900 officially goes on sale today in the US with your choice of either Linux or Windows XP.
Specs of the Eee PC 900 include:
8.9-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution
900MHz Intel Celeron M processor (Atom processors should be coming later this year)

It was assumed that AT&T would be the first carrier to get the new BlackBerry Bold smartphone and today they’ve gone ahead and made it official.
AT&T’s John Kampfe says that they will be the only carrier in the US to offer the Bold this summer.

This morning Sprint announced their first quarter results and as expected had bad news for investors. The companies profits were down roughly 9 percent, or $9.3 billion, over this same time last year.

For a while now we’ve known that the BlackBerry 9000 smartphone has been coming and today RIM went ahead and made it official.
The 9000, now apparently called the Bold 9000, has features that include:
HSDPA and EV-DO versions
480 x 320 LCD screen
625MHz processor
1GB internal memory
802.11a/b/g Wi-i
Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP for wireless stereo headphones support

VP of product marketing at TiVo Jim Denney has been quoted saying that HD content is coming to the TiVo thanks to Amazon’s Unbox video service. Since Series 2 TiVo’s can already get standard definition content from Unbox it makes sense that HD content be available there too.

Its no secret that new iPhones are coming and most feel that we’ll see them around June of this year, coinciding with Apple’s WWDC, but CrunchGear is floating a new theory about when we may see them–next week.

Microsoft has announced that their Zune media player has passed the 2 million sold mark, growing their market share from three to four percent.
For some perspective, last quarter alone Apple sold 10.6 million iPods so Apple really hasn’t got anything to worry about for the foreseeable future.

The whole on again, off again free Wi-Fi access at AT&T hotspots is a bit crazy. The New York Times noticed the whole thing and contacted AT&T for some answers.
