EarthLink officially shutting down Philadelphia’s municipal Wi-Fi
Posted on May 13, 2008 by Dan
Looks like EarthLink wasn’t kidding when it asked Philadelphia to take over the city’s municipal Wi-Fi service or risk having it shut down.
EarthLink announced today that it is giving customers of the service a 30-day transition period that ends on June 12th, after which time the service will be turned off.
EarthLink has also filed a court petition asking permission to remove its equipment from Philadelphia street lights.
