TiVo brings back lifetime subscriptions

Up until 2003 TiVo offered a lifetime subscription service, meaning you could avoid paying the monthly fees and just pay one big fee up front.
TiVo has decided to bring the service back and for a $399 flat fee you can avoid the monthly recurring fee which adds up to $129 each year.
