Rumored specs for rumored Canon XS/1000D [UPDATED]

Right now there is no Canon XS/1000D DSLR camera, so of course there are no official specs released for it.
There is, however, a rumor that Canon is preparing to announce such a camera a Photokina in September as a replacement to the Rebel XT (different from the XTi and XSi) and its specs are rumored to be as follows:
- 10.1 megapixel sensor
- Digic III image processors
- 7-point autofocus system
- 3fps continuous shooting
- 2.5-inch LCD
- LiveView
- Similar menus to the XSi 450D but more simplified
- Will weight 540 grams
- Will be inexpensive
