Apple just released firmware 2.0.1 for the iPhone and iPod Touch which you should be available in iTunes now.
Not really clear what’s in this version except for some “bug fixes”. Hopefully among the bugs fixed are the slow text input bug and the slow scrolling bug, each of which were new to the 2.0 firmware.

DISH Network announced a quarterly loss in subscribers, causing it’s stock price to fall roughly 5%. According to Craig Moffett, analyst with Bernstein research, “it’s the first ever loss of subscribers by a major satellite TV company.”
DISH blame’s the loss on “aggressive promotional offerings by our competition” and “weak economic conditions.”

Qualcomm COO and senior vice president Sanjay Jha has been named the new head of Motorola’s mobile device unit which Motorola is preparing to spin-off into a separate public company.
Things have been tough for Motorola the last few years with their most recent hit being the Razr handset which debuted in 2004.

According to several posts on the Official PlayStation 3 Forums Sony’s 2.42 firmware update for the PS3 may have introduced a few new problems for some users.
The new bugs seem to include games locking up and discs that could previously be read no longer working.

Much to the surprise to the developer, the movie showtime and review finding iPhone application called Box Office, previously available for free in the iTunes App Store, has been pulled but so far no one knows why.

The iPhone Nano rumor is back in the news again and according to Daily Mail we’ll see it in time for this holiday season.
