Sony announces new PSP-3000

SCEE president David Reeves today confirmed a PSP rumor that has been floating around a bit–Sony is indeed working on a new PSP.
The new model, called the PSP-3000, will be nearly identically visually to the current PSP’s but will include new features like a built-in microphone, a new, brighter LCD, and pre-installed Skype.

Intel working on dual-core Atom chips?

Although a dual-core version of the lower-power Intel Atom processor hasn’t been officially announced, some info has made its way into Intel’s Developer Forum.
If the info is accurate, look for a dual-core Atom 330 to be launched at 1.6GHz and be built on the same 45nm process.

Nikon D90, D3s to be officially announced on August 27th?

According to Thom Hogan, Nikon will be holding a press conference on August 27th, a couple of days before the kickoff of IFA and almost a month ahead of Photokina.

Some iPhone 3G users having trouble making calls after 2.0.2 update

When Apple’s 2.0.2 firmware update for the iPhone hit yesterday, iPhone 3G owners experiencing 3G speed and connectivity problems were hopeful that the update would address their problem at least a little bit (though it’s possibly that it could be a hardware problem that can’t be fixed with a software update).
