Microsoft has begun the process of updating Hotmail’s user interface with some users already onboard with the new design.
Aside from the new look which includes both a full and a classic interface, the contacts feature has been updated and there is now integration with Live’s Calendar beta.

According to the New York Times, MTV is about to announce a new bonus pack for Rock Band featuring live tracks from AC/DC called AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack.
Looks like it will only be available at Wal-Mart and will go for $40.

Apple has released the first beta of their planned 2.2 firmware update for the iPhone, though Apple doesn’t really say anything about what’s in there.
From what I’ve seen on the web, one change is that in the browser the URL and search boxes, currently stacked on top one another, are now side by side.

Nikon has released an update to the firmware for their D80 DSLR. If you’re a D80 owner and have noticed a problem with the batter life indicator, this new firmware (version 1.11) should fix it.

MySpace’s entry into the streaming music space called MySpace Music has launched.
Using the service you’ll be able to listen to music from many recording artists and if you want to buy one you’ll be sent over to Amazon to purchase it from their DRM-free MP3 store (lately the only place I’ve been buying music).

Microsoft has quietly revealed that their upcoming mobile operation system, Windows Mobile 7, has been delayed until the second half of 2009.
No comment from Microsoft on the move, but with the iPhone and Android operating systems getting all the attention right now and Palm’s next major OS release coming (one day) hopefully the extra time [...]

Adobe has officially announced the latest version of the Creative Suite, CS4, scheduled to ship next month.
