HBO content has officially been added to Apple’s iTunes store and with it comes a new pricing model for TV shows.

Take-Two Interactive, publisher of the hit Xbox 360 game BioShock, has announced that a movie based on the game will be made by Universal Pictures and directed by “Pirates of the Caribbean” director Gore Verbinski.

Canada is FINALLY officially getting the Microsoft Zune, making this the first launch of the media player outside of the US (believe it or not).
The Zune will be available on June 13th and include a slightly different line-up of players than in the US.

Microsoft’s Zune 2.5 sprint update is expected to hit tomorrow and will include a few new tricks.
New in 2.5 will be:
Purchasable TV shows for $2 each and shows from NBC, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Cartoon Network will be available initially with more more networks (presumably) coming later

After defeating HD DVD in the HD disc format wars in February it was easy to assume that Blu-ray sales would be free to take off.

Nope, not a late April fools joke.
Today at the Maker Faire, creator of the popular 80’s and early 90’s television series MacGyver announced that a big budget MacGyver movie is in the planning stages.
No word yet if the cast will include Richard Dean Anderson and his poofy mullet.

If you like iTunes but wish you could sync it with something other than an Apple iPod you’re in luck.
iTunes Sync is a free software app for Windows that lets you sync playlists from iTunes with lots of other MP3 players–any one that shows up as a drive letter in Windows.

So far I love the heck out of my Apple TV but one thing it’s been missing has been the ability to buy movies. Sure you could rent them, or buy them from your computer and watch them on your Apple TV but why not just be able to buy them right from the Apple [...]

Today Apple announced that it has struck a deal with several movie studios to release all new movies in iTunes the same day the DVD is released.
